Sprints are a Dublin-based band known for their raw fusion of garage punk, post-punk, and noise rock. Their music is characterized by urgent guitar riffs, thunderous percussion, and emotionally charged vocals. Influenced by acts like IDLES, Savages, and Gilla Band, Sprints deliver a sound that is both aggressive and introspective, often addressing themes of identity, mental health, and societal pressures. Their debut album, Letter to Self, released in January 2024, showcases their ability to blend visceral energy with poignant lyricism, earning critical acclaim for its authenticity and intensity.​

Formed in 2019, Sprints consist of Karla Chubb (vocals, guitar), Sam McCann (bass, vocals), Jack Callan (drums), and Zac Stephenson (guitar). Initially starting as an indie-folk project, the band found their true voice in the punk scene, channeling personal experiences and societal observations into their music. Their early releases, including the EPs Manifesto (2021) and A Modern Job (2022), laid the groundwork for their explosive debut album. Despite facing challenges such as financial constraints and lineup changes, Sprints have remained steadfast in their mission to create music that resonates with authenticity and confronts pressing issues head-on.
