Romy Madley Croft, known professionally as Romy, is an English musician celebrated for her role as guitarist and co-vocalist in the indie pop band The xx, as well as for her solo work that blends dance-pop with deeply personal themes.

Romy's solo music marks a departure from The xx's minimalist sound, embracing a more vibrant and euphoric dance-pop aesthetic. Her debut solo album, Mid Air (2023), is a heartfelt homage to the 1990s and 2000s club culture, drawing inspiration from Euro-trance, house, and disco. The album features collaborations with producers Fred Again.. and Stuart Price, and includes tracks like "Strong," "Enjoy Your Life," and "Loveher," which intertwine themes of love, grief, and queer identity.
